west elm tulsa store opening

Thursday, August 28, 2014

It has finally happened, people. My ship has come in and West Elm has opened in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I couldn't be more thrilled that my favorite home store is now here in my city! The grand opening is today, but Kendall at West Elm was nice enough to give a few local bloggers and others a sneak preview yesterday afternoon!

One really cool thing West Elm does is that although they are a nation-wide retailer, they still source local goods and support creatives in our area.

 beautiful bed and bath area

Every dining room table is styled to perfection, and don't even get me started on the lighting.

The background of the cash wrap area was designed by the local employees out of scrap wood to resemble the aerial views of Oklahoma and our many fields.

I'm sure I'll be in here quite a bit, lusting after their beautiful things and scheming ways to spend my life savings on marble mid-century coffee tables.

It's Wednesday, yo.

1. Design Bloggers at Home is a coffee table book full of interior design bloggers' homes and the author's name is Ellie... sounds pretty lame, why would anyone want that...
2. This Small Pillar Table Lamp from West Elm is so cute and perfect - it would fit very well on a nightstand, dresser, or bookshelf.
3. I'm running pretty low on perfume, and Miss Dior has been a long-time favorite of mine. If you haven't tried it I would highly recommend this pretty, sophisticated scent.
4. I've loved this beautiful Abstractions Aside print by Leigh Viner for a really long time, and I've probably posted about it before (I'm sure you all remember every single thing I've posted in the history of this blog), but I recently rediscovered it and remembered how perfect it would be in my gallery wall.
5. This black heart bkr bottle is everything - I don't know how I've been functioning without it to be honest.
